On behalf of all my SLAG's who took part in last week's extravaganza, a most sincere thanks to you and your team for putting together a truly memorable event. There doesn't appear to have been much of a 'vintage' cricket culture in the UK until now, but I'm certain that a lot of people are now interested as a result of their experiences last week. We had two terrific games, against the Chardonnays and the boys from Western Australia, and everyone who took part enjoyed them enormously. There was a spirit and sportsmanship in both games that I haven't experienced for a long time. We all made lots of new friends and I hope that we'll be able to meet up with many of them in Cape Town or elsewhere before very much longer.
