Vintage Sports Activities:

Vintage Sports stages International Carnivals for sports that are part of the Vintage Sports Movement. Carnivals are staged in selected international venues and feature friendly competition between teams and individuals from all parts of the world.

Carnivals feature social activities that allow teams and team members to mix and develop the camaraderie and friendships that are a major feature of the Vintage Sports Movement.

Vintage Sports maintains inter-active websites that allow all Movement members to communicate, arrange tours, network and keep in touch with sporting friends.

Vintage Sports issues a regular Movement Newsletter that keeps all Vintage Sports members up to date with activities in all sports.

Vintage Sports arranges regular tours of sporting interest exclusive to Movement Members and will arrange on request, tours on behalf of Member Clubs and Individuals.

Establishment of Vintage Sports:

The Vintage Sports Movement was established as a result of approaches from cricket, rugby and softball clubs in Australia and New Zealand who wished to enjoy “Mature” sorts at selected venues with competition amongst international teams.

The emphasis is on sports participation, travel and camaraderie. The management and decisions concerning Vintage Sports are being made by sports people free of commercial influences and encumbrance

Benefits of Vintage Sports are being directed back into sport and are used to encourage participation in youth sport and development programmes.

Vintage Sports Carnivals:

Carnivals are designed by sports people and are planned to suit mature age groups, degrees of fitness and competitive levels.

Carnival rules ensure that all participants are over the age of 35, except golf which is over 40, and are able to enjoy competition and social activities with teams and individuals of like ability, age fitness and standards.

The emphasis is on enjoyment, participation, fraternity and friendship on and off the field.
